UNHCR is temporarily suspending activities in the Reception Centres
15 March, Update coronavirus: In line with the Government latest guidelines today on country-wide measures to combat COVID-19, UNHCR is temporarily suspending activities in the Reception Centres on Monday 16 March.
UNHCR hotlines will function at a reduced capacity on Monday and we are deploying all efforts to expand capacity as from Tuesday. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Refugees who had appointments will be individually contacted by UNHCR with a rescheduled date. In case you are not contacted by UNHCR, please call us.
The UNHCR contacts can be found here: https://www.refugees-lebanon.org/en/section/1/unhcr-reception-centres
If you have a medical emergency, you can call NEXtCARE at 01504020 (24 hours 7/7 days) or approach a NEXtCARE delegate in a contracted hospital, even if your UNHCR documents are expired. There is no need to go to the UNHCR Reception Center.
Activities in Community Development Centers will also be suspended.
Please do avoid movements and stay safe at home, as recommended by the national authorities.
